About Sforza Castle

The 15th century Renaissance castle, surrounded by the massive walls and located in the center of Milan, was built by the Duke of Milan (Francesco Sforza) as his residence. Today, it houses many interesting museums (e.g. The Museum of Ancient Art, the Egyptian Museum, the Applied Arts Collection, the Museum of Musical Instruments or the Pinacoteca) and even owns several pieces by Da Vinci or Michelangelo. There is also a large English style park, popular among both the locals and the tourists. It is a great place for jogging, walking or simply resting surrounded by the greenery after a long day of sightseeing.
