About Top of the Rock
The best-known observation deck in New York. It’s located at the top of the Rockefeller Centre, one of New York’s best-known skyscrapers. It offers a spectacular view of the city with all its icons (e.g. Empire State Building, Chrysler Building, or Central Park). It was first opened to the public in 1933 but in 1986 it was closed again so the building could undergo a renovation process. The visitors returned to the deck in 2005 after the renovations were completed.
